Yahoo/General & ESPN Options – Football Outsiders

ESPN has a few unique differences vs. other platforms, like Yahoo. Since these settings effect the Point Projections, we have provided the ability to filter our projections based on the platform you may be using to give to the most accurate results.

There are two differences between the Yahoo/General and ESPN options:

PLAYER POSITIONS: Yahoo and ESPN can have different positions for players. This happens a lot for individual defensive players. But more notability applies to Taysom Hill for the 2020 season. Hill is a QB in Yahoo/General and a TE in ESPN.

SCORING RULES: Yahoo and ESPN use the same scoring rules for passing, rushing, and receiving as it pertains to PPR and non-PPR, and so QBs, RBs, WRs, and TEs will have the same fantasy points no matter if you select Yahoo and ESPN.

However, Yahoo and ESPN have different default scoring for both kickers and defenses, and those differences persist no matter if you set up a league as PPR or non-PPR.
